Happy New Year!

We hope you had a fun time celebrating, but now it's time to get back to the rat race of life. Since Ray had to take a break from the stress of the show, we were able to lure Matt Goodman back on, so we'll be exploiting his good graces until he leaves to go back to his own academic rat race. So while you're slowly lifting yourself up off the floor and trying to remove the weight of holiday stress from around your neck, check out the Pundits as we'll even go so far as to the discuss the difficulties of recommending comedies and horror films!

Cast: Sarah "Reel Monkey" Bonilla, Nate "Boxman" Zoebl, and Matt Goodman

Topics:
Movie Review: Wolf Creek
o Could this possibly be as high-brow a film as to deal with such lofty

                philosophical ideals as Existentialism?
o What kind of people could like such gore?
o WARNING: We do talk about the ending, as you can't talk about the ending

                when addressing flaws or flawlessness.

Movie Review: Fun with Dick and Jane
o Sarah laughed. It did it's job.
o Matt feels it wants to criticize corporate America, but it’s hard to take it

seriously when it’s chock full of typical Jim Carrey schtick.

Movie Review: Munich
o Nate says his piece on the film.

DVD Review: Kung Fu Hustle
o A good time had by all!
o Not as overly goofy as you might expect.

DVD Review: Grizzly Man
o Timothy Treadwell is a fascinating creature!
o Real footage of foxes in the wild! AMAZING!
o Murderball still the best doc of 2005, but you’d have an interesting night

pairing this up with March of the Penguins.

Next Week: Hostel and BloodRayne. The DVD release of Broken Flowers and a 2005 Year in Review film, 2046. Also the first contribution of the Smart-Popcorn Staff's Top 5's of 2005.

Special Guest: Matt Goodman

Opening Credits: The Godfather Part II - Carmine Coppola & Nina Rota, A New Carpet
Closing Credits: Wolf Creek - Francois Tetaz,
Wolf Creek: Main Title
